We spent last weekend in Aalborg and visited Søgaards Bryghus (a restaurant with its own brewery). On the right: Rauch, a smoked beer. On the left: Black Swan, a super strong (12%) and intense stout. I was expecting Rauch to taste similar to Schlenkerla, but it didn't. Black Swan is available only in a 0.2L size because it's so intense. The waiter insisted that I try Rauch before I ordered it, because most Danes send it back after tasting it. Pfft, amateurs! To her surprise, I liked it.
