Next level unlocked. Up until now, we've been filling and spackling holes. Today, I started applying a layer of mortar to cover an exposed section of the brick wall. Since I still have no idea what the fuck I'm doing, I decided to start with just a small area. That way, in the very likely event that I fuck things up, removing a small patch of mortar should be relatively easy.
